In October 2023, I participated in the Big Island Book Festival in Coutenay, on Vancouver Island. I enjoyed meeting fellow writers and talking about my novels.

In September, 2021, the translated version of Hero, in the Frisian Language was published by Afûk, in Leeuwarden.

Held 140, was my great-uncle, Jan Hoogterp's stallion. His journey during WWII, was the inspiration for my novel.

This photograph of the Frisian stallion, Wytse 462, was used for the cover of the translated version of my novel.
Wytse was related to Uncle Jan's stallion, Held. He was a fifth generation descendent.

November 4, 2021, was the launch of the Frisian version of Hero. Five schools were part of the celebration.
The grade five students of these schools received a free copy of my book. A Frisian horse, two boys, dressed as the characters, Izaak and Gabe, were the highlight of the festivities. I was fortunate to virtually participate in this amazing event!
